Deadline: 2 June 2021 – NEAR is looking for Postdoc in Public Health

The core interests of the postdoc position rely on the identification of modifiable risk factors for the development of neurocognitive disorders, based on multifactorial data from the National E-Infrastructure on Aging Research (NEAR) by using deep learning and other artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. The postdoc researcher will spend her or his time at KI and Blekinge Institute of Technology. The postdoc researcher will mainly be working with NEAR data harmonization for variables related to the project. The postdoc researcher will be responsible for project planning, data preparation (together with database managers within NEAR), data analysis, and writing of scientific articles. The multidisciplinary project employs multiple machine learning and deep learning algorithms directed at solving healthcare problems.

Your profile
The applicant should have a PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, or AI/Deep Learning and good knowledge of advanced statistics in health settings. Essential skills are processing and interpreting health data in multiple forms, including big data healthcare multifactorial databases, as well as medical imaging. Experience of data collection and logistics within population-based studies, data cleaning, quality controls and work on databases is also a strength. Scientific productivity (published articles) and experience from large-scale scientific collaborations are further merits.
