Deadline: 25 June 2021 – NEAR is looking for a Postdoc in Geriatric Epidemiology

NEAR is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct work on epidemiological research on depression in relation to neurodegenerative disorders in older adults. The postdoc researcher will spend her or his time at KI and GU carrying out a project concerning the complex interrelations between psychiatric- and neurodegenerative disorders. The postdoc researcher will be working with NEAR data harmonization for variables related to the project. 

Your Profile
The applicant should have a PhD in Medicine and have good knowledge of depression in late life. A Master of science in Public Health is preferred. Experience of working with data collection and logistics within population-based epidemiological studies, data cleaning, quality controls and work of improvements in databases is also necessary. Experience of previous research in epidemiology, aging or mental illness is a merit. Experience in quantitative methods is also a merit. Scientific productivity (in terms of published articles) and documented ability to apply for and get funding, are further merits. Great emphasis will be placed on collaborative ability, ability to work independently and personal suitability. We stress research expertise when assessing applicants.
