Anders Wimo in the World Alzheimer Report and Global status report on the public health response to dementia

The NEAR Steering Board member, Anders Wimo, has contributed to the “World Alzheimer Report 2021 – Journey through the diagnosis of dementia”, released by the Alzheimer’s Disease International and the “Global status report on the public health response to dementia”, released by the World Health Organization (WHO), 2021. Anders has written chapters about cost factors and new challenges and opportunities in the diagnosis of dementia (1), as well as global societal costs and support for carers of people living with dementia (2). In the WHO report, national SNAC data was used to estimate dementia costs in Sweden.
