Anders Wimo, professor and principal investigator of the NEAR project SNAC- Nordanstig was interviewed on the national television programme “Agenda”. He criticised the low degree of medical exams performed on elderly during the Covid-19 pandemic and called for an increase in staffing of nurses and doctors in Sweden.
The NEAR Steering Board member, Karl Michaëlsson, was interviewed in the daily newspaper SVT about vitamin D supplements. Prescriptions of D-vitamin has increased by almost a thousand percent in recent years. Karl explains that the supplement is unnecessary if you have no deficiencies. Read the article in SVT
